Job fair for Atlanta airport concessions company Hojeij Branded Foods
ATLANTA (CBS ATLANTA) -
Day two of a job fair is being held Tuesday for job seekers interested in working concessions at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport.
The job fair is from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. at the Marriott Century Center, located at 2000 Century Blvd NE, Atlanta, GA 30345.
Hojeij Branded Foods (HBF) is looking to hire 200 people to fill positions at a variety of restaurants and shops set to open this summer on Concourse A. Job openings include cashiers, line servers, day and overnight food preparers, dough makers, pizza artists, culinary specialists, bartenders, servers, dishwashers, bussers, bar backs, sandwich makers, shift supervisors and managers.
Job seekers began lining up hours before the job fair began. Many were ready to tout their skills to the people doing the hiring.
"I have a service skill, waitressing and cashier," said Nakia Shabazz. "I love customer service. I love talking to people."
"I love cooking soul food," said Valerie Brazelton, who hopes to land a job as a cook.
Organizers said they offered jobs to more than 90 people on the spot during Monday's job fair. They still need to hire more than 100 more.
