Periods of heavy rain will continue through the Fourth of July in Atlanta, with a continued high risk of flash flooding.
Flash Flood Warnings
Currently there are no flood warnings in effect and all rivers remain below flood stage...but additional warnings are likely this afternoon.
Flash flooding occurs when water rapidly rises with little, or no notice, and is especially dangerous at night.
4th of July: only isolated showers are expected this morning with heavier, scattered rain moving back into metro Atlanta this afternoon and evening.
Friday: scattered rain is expected through sunset, with drier weather Friday night.
