Reward offered for information in Sandy Springs hit-and-run accident

SANDY SPRINGS, GA (CBS46) -

Sandy Springs police are looking for a hit-and-run driver who caused a serious crash early Sunday morning.

The accident happened at about 4 a.m. on Roswell Road on the westbound entrance ramp to I-285.

Alejandro Palombini, 22, was struck when the driver of a Jeep Grand Cherokee turned in front of his motorcycle. Palombini was taken to Atlanta Medical Center.

On Monday, police released a photo of the Jeep just before the accident. The driver dropped a person off at the Mosaic Apartments at 5675 Roswell Road.

Anyone with information leading to the arrest of those responsible for the hit-and-run will be eligible for a reward up to $2,000.  Call the Sandy Springs Police Department at 770-551-6900.
