COLLEGE PARK, GA (CBS46) -

Fire broke out at a College Park apartment complex Monday morning, leaving 12 people displaced.

It happened at South Hampton Estates on Godby Road. Two units were destroyed in the fire an no one was injured.

Firefighters said the fire was an electrical fire and the exact source is under investigation.

Residents living in the complex are frustrated because they believe the fire could have been prevented.

"They need to fix these electrical problems," said upset resident Marshell Mayner. "They've known about them. This is crazy."

The American Red Cross purchased hotel rooms for displaced victims for the next three days.

By then, apartment complex management expects to have new units for the fire victims ready for move-in.
