UNION COUNTY, GA (CBS46) -

CBS Atlanta News got action for a resident that lives in one of five condos at Virginia Commons Condominium Community.

The condo floods nearly every time it rains, according to resident Adelia Mitchell.

Mitchell showed CBS Atlanta News the red clay that comes into her home after flooding and other issues building issues.

The homeowners' association is responsible for what happens outside of the units.

Mitchell said all of the thousands of dollars worth of damage inside should be taken care of by the HOA.

After CBS Atlanta News covered the story, The Old Virginia Board of Directors met Monday and voted to rent Mitchell a POD to store her furniture, while her basement is being waterproofed.

They also voted to put her in a hotel starting Tuesday, until the work is completed in her basement.

Another gutter on the building is being repaired by the beginning of next week.

An additional company will inspect the other flooding units on July 11th.

The board also voted to hire a vendor to provide their services in waterproofing all flooding units.

"We all thank you for all your help," Mitchell wrote CBS Atlanta News.
