Funeral information has been released for an East Point police officer found shot to death in her home.
Funeral services for Cpl. Chrystal Parker will be held Noon Saturday at the East Point First Mallalieu United Methodist Church.
Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens in College Park.
Chrystal Parker's ex-roommate, Danielle Parker, is charged with murder in the officer's death.
Danielle Parker waived her first court appearance Wednesday.
CBS Atlanta News was there when police brought Danielle Alexis Parker, 30, to the Fulton County Jail Tuesday night for questioning after her arrest. The U.S. Marshals took Danielle Parker into custody late Tuesday afternoon at an apartment complex in southwest Atlanta on Fairburn Road.
Fulton County police would not comment on a motive in the case or what the relationship was between the officer and Danielle Parker. Documents show that Danielle Parker's real name was Darma Dixon. She legally changed her last name last year. The two lived together for an unspecified period of time.
Families of both women were at the Fulton County Jail for the hearing, though it did not take place as expected Wednesday.
When asked about the pair's relationship, Chrystal Parker's father had no comment.
"She's incarcerated. That's it," said Joseph Parker as he left the jail. "Justice is being served and it's going to, it's going to work out."
Friends and family of Danielle Parker refused to talk to reporters.
Chrystal and Danielle Parker recently had a falling out, and Danielle Parker moved out, authorities said.
Police believe she came back, most likely on July 4, and shot Chrystal Parker, killing her. Police said Chrystal Parker was shot in the head and had likely been dead for several days.
Rosemary McClendon was a close friend of Chrystal Parker who had gone to her East Point home to check on her Sunday night. She called police after discovering the body.
"We always had a date Sunday night for dinner and movies and I hadn't heard from her so I just went over and checked," said McClendon. "She was a very hard-working, very generous person. She would do anything for anybody."
Danielle Parker is due back in court on July 29.
