The 2013 great male survey has been released and this year's results may surprise you.

Every year, the Great Male Survey delivers an updated, comprehensive picture of the young American guy, according to publisher James Bassil.

More than 140 questions were asked across dating, sex, technology, politics, lifestyle and more.

Bassil said there's definitely been a shift in men's attitudes towards privacy, particularly in regards to our snooping on both colleagues and partners.

  • 50 percent of men would consider dumping their partner if she put on weight.
  • 95 percent still see marriage as a life goal – with 92 percent stating they believe in the institution of marriage.
  • 43 percent say they have snooped on a colleague, looking through their desk or reading their emails.
  • 91 percent of respondents would get into a fight with a stranger to protect a loved one.
