ATLANTA (CBS ATLANTA) -

A McDonough woman was killed during a multi-vehicle wreck on the downtown connector in Atlanta late Friday night.

The Fulton County medical examiner's office identified the victim as Adrianna Barron, 23. Barron was in the front passenger's seat of a Kia Forte, which was rear-ended by the driver of a Volvo X90 during the crash.

Preliminary reports indicated that a Jeep Compass left the roadway, hit a retaining wall and re-entered the interstate lanes and stopped in a travel lane.

Three approaching vehicles stopped for the Jeep. At that point, the Volvo rear-ended the Kia, killing Barron. All other injuries were not considered life-threatening.

All the vehicles were damaged. The Kia received heavy damage.

The wreck happened just before midnight at Interstate 75/85 southbound near Highway 166.

Police charged the driver of the Jeep, Jeremy Crawley, 36, with failure to maintain a lane, DUI and homicide by vehicle.

The driver of the Volvo is Hollis Hamilton Floyd, 28. She is charged with reckless driving, DUI and homicide by vehicle in addition to other charges.
