CBS46 is excited to announce a major addition to its morning news and consumer teams. Annalee Penny brings a wealth of knowledge to the station, both in consumer reporting and in connecting with viewers via social media. Her skills will enhance CBS46's new initiative to help viewers protect their money, keep their money, and prevent them from getting ripped off.
"I'm very excited to be joining the CBS46 family, and to contribute to such a remarkable team," said Annalee. "Returning to Georgia also gives me a chance to be closer to family, and the hot spots that I love. I'm revved up and ready to show viewers how a penny saved is a penny earned."
Annalee most recently worked at KTXL in Sacramento, a city where she racked up more than 9 years of experience in producing morning and consumer segments. Throughout her career, Annalee has honed her skills in a number of roles, including anchor, CNN Ambassador, and reporter. She is an active member of the Asian American Journalist Association and received her degree in Journalism from the University of West Georgia.
"CBS46 is pleased to have Annalee Penny joining our team", said News Director Lane Michaelsen. "Just as her name suggests, Miss Penny is a consumer reporter focused on helping viewers save every penny they can. She connects to viewers through social media and uses social media to find the best deals. Annalee is not new to Georgia; she grew up here, went to college here and is excited to be home."
Annalee will officially join the CBS46 on-air staff on Monday August 12, 2013.
