First day of big bag ban at Falcons games

Posted: Updated:
ATLANTA (CBS ATLANTA) -

While the Atlanta Falcons are starting their pre-season by battling the Cincinnati Bengals, Falcons fans are trying to get used to a new bag policy that bans big bags from coming into the Georgia Dome.

This applies to back packs, big purses and diaper bags.

Fan Kathy Malone, of Forest Park, said she is a season ticket holder, who took advantage of an NFL deal that gives season ticket holders two clear plastic bags, that they can bring into the stadium. She ran us through what she filled up her bag with.

"My telephone, my lotion, I always keep something for a headache, and I've got to have my identification card," Malone said.

For those who come to the Georgia Dome with bags, they can turn their bags in, and swap them out for clear plastic bags, during the game at select tents nearby.
