LOGANVILLE, GA (CBS46) -

A rotten tree toppled Friday, crushing two young children playing in the front yard of a Loganville home.

"Two kids - I wanted to cry," said Tiffany Price, who lives along Wagon Trail Road where the accident happened. "My kids even are very terrified."

The Walton County Sheriff's Office said the tree fell without warning as the children drove a motorized toy Jeep around the yard.

The injured were identified as 5-year-old Tristan Wilson and 3-year-old Ainsley Saint.

A spokeswoman from Children's Healthcare of Atlanta at Egleston said Wilson was listed in critical condition, while Saint was in fair condition.

A teen at the home told CBS Atlanta News the children were out playing while their father visited with a friend at the home.

"Everybody around here is pretty friendly," said Patrick Stephens, one of many neighbors who drove past the house on Saturday to see the fallen tree. "Just concerned about the children."

"You can try to make things safer, but it's still an act of God," said Price, a mother of three.
