Farmers' Market considering going smoke-free

Posted: Updated:
NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

Most of the Nashville Farmers' Market downtown is outside, but the board that oversees it is still thinking about going smoke-free.

"One of the reasons why this is considered a place for people to come and get healthy food," said Nancy Whittemore, interim director of the Nashville Farmers' Market. "We really want to promote a healthier lifestyle."

It's not a done deal though as the board is just considering it.

Smoking is already prohibited inside the Farmers' Market.
