A grieving father told CBS Atlanta News their daughter died in a pool that was supposed to be locked.
"This [is] my lovely daughter … I love so much," said Naysoe OO.
Biak Hnam drowned in the pool at Marquis Parc Apartments on Montreal Road in Clarkston.
It happened at about 6:45 p.m. on Saturday when she and some friends managed to get inside the pool area.
Sunday afternoon OO shot video as repair crews drained the pool and added a tarp.
He told CBS Atlanta News apartment management is trying to hide evidence of the drowning.
"They had to do it before today. It should have happened yesterday and my daughter [wouldn't be dead]," said OO.
The family has support from neighbors and friends who said a lock was missing from one of the gates.
Ly Duong wants to make sure the OOs get the justice they deserve.
"We just want to bring justice for this little girl. The good thing is this is happening now and they are trying to clear the pool. Who knows, yesterday maybe all of the kids would have drowned. That would have been really bad," Duong.
The apartment office was closed on Sunday, but CBS Atlanta News did see management on site with the repair crews. They did not offer a comment on the death.
Clarkston police are still investigating the drowning.
The family has since gotten an attorney.
