Henry County fire investigators are searching for clues to determine what caused a fire at 345 Loblolly Ridge in Locust Grove.
Firefighters responded to the scene just before 9 p.m. Tuesday. They found heavy smoke and flames. More than half of the structure was engulfed in flames.
Despite the amount of fire present, an aggressive interior attack and search was conducted, and a knockdown on the fire was accomplished before crews were forced to exit the structure due to its integrity.
"Fortunately, the homeowners were accounted for and there were no significant injuries reported, stated Capt. Sabrina Puckett in a press release.
One person was evaluated on scene but was not treated or transported.
Firefighters had the fire under control by 9:30 p.m. Copyright 2013 WGCL-TV (Meredith Corporation). All rights reserved.
