GWINNETT COUNTY, GA (CBS46) -

Gwinnett County police detectives have captured the man they say is a serial bank robber.

Detectives arrested the suspect, Jeremy Thompson, a.k.a. Jeremy Cannon, at an Atlanta Greyhound bus station late Wednesday night.

Detectives had discovered information leading them to believe that Thompson was going to travel to Miami by bus.

Thompson was in possession of a fake hand grenade when he was arrested.

Detectives believe he committed bank robberies in the past week in Norcross, Doraville and Buckhead.

Thompson has been charged with one count of armed robbery for the bank robbery in Gwinnett. He remains in custody at the Gwinnett County Detention Center without bond.
