A couple of early morning burglaries in Alpharetta have some business owners on edge. The break-ins happened in the 4600 block of Kimball Bridge Rd. The victims said the burglar knew exactly what he wanted, getting in and out quickly.
"I looked at the cash drawer and it was gone, completely gone," said Connie Mason.
Mason is the manager of Muse Salon and Spa, She said the crook got away with about $800.
"They left the deposit bag that had money, but mostly checks inside," said Mason.
Mason said it appears the burglar used some type of tool to pull the lock out of the door.
"Whoever it was wanted fast cash because there are a lot of products in here worth a lot of money, and other stuff but they just walked right out the door. They just took the cash," said Mason.
Someone hit a nail salon a couple doors down from Muse, but the owner said nothing was taken.
"It makes me mad. It feels like you are not safe anywhere. You got violated. These people just walked through your door, took your money and left," said Mason.
Mason said she hopes surveillance video will lead to a break in the case, but she said the uncertainty is disturbing.
"They had to have known where we kept our money. So that makes it even worse that they may have come in before and pretended that they wanted an appointment. But did they get one? Did they even pay us for a haircut before they took the money away from us," Mason said. "It is very scary not knowing."
