Atlanta Halloween tradition NETHERWORLD opens Friday night

ATLANTA (CBS ATLANTA) -

This weekend, Atlanta Halloween tradition NETHERWORLD opens to the public.

NETHERWORLD Haunted House truly lives up to its reputation as one of the top 10 scariest haunted houses in the country.

NETHERWORLD is a self-guided, dark attraction known for its over-the-top special effects, intense make-up, elaborate costuming, skilled stunt actors, unique monsters, unusual themes and chilling detail.

"Just as you make it around a corner freely and are breathing again, something reaches out or a pop goes off and you're screaming again. And, even when you know it's coming, it still surprises and delights," said Mary Welch of the ACVB's Atlanta.net. "Sure, you've been to other haunted houses, but this is probably the best in the nation. NETHERWORLD promises - and delivers - more brain-blasting special effects and all-out horror than you have seen in your life."

CBS Atlanta News and NETHERWORLD are giving you a chance to experience what The Travel Channel called the "most horrifying haunted house in the nation."
