Gwinnett County veterinarian to provide surgery-free neutering

Posted: Updated:
LILBURN, GA (CBS46) -

You can now sterilize your male dogs without surgery.

The scientists at Ark Sciences have developed a drug called Zeuterin, which is the only drug that is FDA-approved for non-surgical dog neutering, according to the company.

Zeuterin is a solution of zinc gluconate and arginine, which can be injected pain-free and under a light sedative.

Gwinnett County veterinarian Star Gregory, the owner of Zutillia Veterinary Housecalls, will offer in-home neutering on Tuesday, Oct. 22 to anyone who would like to take advantage of the new procedure.

The mobile veterinarian will perform the procedure for $200 per dog, who should be at least 3 months old, healthy, not be aggressive, and live in Gwinnett or DeKalb counties.

You can contact Gregory at (404) 859-9246 or at dgregory@zutillavet.com
