Woodstock police seeking tips in Play-N-Trade arson, robbery

WOODSTOCK, GA (CBS46) -

Woodstock investigators continue to follow up on leads in an arson and robbery at Play-N-Trade.

On Sept. 29, 2013, authorities responded to Play-N-Trade at 2990 Eagle Dr. Suite 110 in reference to an armed robbery and business structure fire.

According to reports, an armed man entered the store and held the employees in the back of the business. A short time later, employees were released and told to run from the store.

Investigators said a blaze started shortly after.

A manager of the store received second and third-degree burns, according to Woodstock police.

Cash and merchandise was taken from the business.

Investigators believe there are at least three other suspects involved. They may have fled the scene in a late model blue Chevrolet SUV.

The Georgia Arson Hotline is offering up to a $10,000 reward for any information leading to the arrest and conviction of persons responsible.
