Free Wi-Fi now available at Piedmont and Grant parks

ATLANTA (CBS ATLANTA) -

Free Wi-Fi is now available at Piedmont Park and Grant Park in Atlanta, according to the city.

Visitors will be able to stay connected with their laptops, smart phones, tablets and any other Wi-Fi enabled device.

You can connect at the parks by using the "CofAtlanta-Piedmontpark" network at Piedmont Park, and "CofAtlanta-Grant" at Grant Park.

- Greensward Pavilion
- Legacy Fountain area
- Visitor Center
- Noguchi playground
- Meadows
- Park Tavern.

- Grant Recreation Basketball and Tennis courts
- Pool
- Playground
- Cyclorama Pavilion
- Picnic Pavilions

"With this new initiative, we have made a targeted investment to improve our city's wireless infrastructure and expand Internet access," said Mayor Kasim Reed in a press release. "As Atlanta continues to grow as a global hub of technology and innovation in the 21st Century, we must find ways to support and drive technological advances. This initiative moves us forward on the path to constant connectivity."

The wireless network, which is supported through Comcast Business Internet Services, can support up to 2,000 Internet connections at once.
