PHOENIX (CBS5) -

A New York man charged with making death threats on Twitter against two CNN anchors covering the Jodi Arias murder trial will be in court Wednesday morning for a hearing.

David Lee Simpson faces five felony counts for comments made toward Nancy Grace and Jane Velez- Mitchell, both hosts of shows on Turner Broadcasting's HLN network who regularly covered the nearly five-month trial on national television.

Investigators said Simpson also threatened a Phoenix woman via Twitter.

Authorities extradited him to Maricopa County and a judge entered a not guilty plea on his behalf.

Arias was convicted of brutally killing her ex-lover Travis Alexander in 2008 in his Mesa home.
