MCDONOUGH, GA (CBS46) -

The Henry County Animal Care and Control Department has issued a 31-day rabies quarantine for a one-mile area surrounding 75 Chafin Drive in McDonough.

Henry County Animal Control received a call on October 11 that a dog fought with, and killed a racoon on the street.  The racoon tested positive for rabies.

Residents living around 75 Chafin Drive should make sure all their pets have received a current rabies shot, and also watch out for other pets acting unusual.
