Suspect arrested in connection with Roswell home invasion

ROSWELL, GA (CBS46) -

A suspect has been arrested in connection with a home invasion in Roswell.

The City of Roswell says they arrested Robert Earl Foster, Jr. on Monday at an extended stay hotel near the home he is accused of invading.

Around 9 a.m. on Oct. 18, Roswell police were called after an armed man kicked in the back door of a home on Hembree Grove Drive.

The suspect, dressed in all black, is described as 6' tall and having a scruffy beard.

The man, armed with a gun and a knife, entered the home and tied the victim up.  The victim was able to get free and went to a neighbor's house for help.

Nearby Elkins Point Middle School was placed on lockdown as a precaution.

The victim was taken to North Fulton Hospital.

Foster, Jr. is being charged with burglary, aggravated battery, aggravated assault, false imprisonment and theft by taking. 

The suspect was also wanted by Cobb County and the State Pardons and Parole.
