PHOENIX (CBS5) -
A Scottsdale man was sentenced to 35 years in prison and lifetime probation Friday for molesting a 6-year-old boy, whose mother the man met online.
Ali Chitsaz, a former volunteer with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Arizona, pleaded guilty to two counts of molestation, two counts of attempted molestation of a child and one count of attempted sexual exploitation of a minor on Sept. 5.
He was sentenced by Judge Cynthia Bailey.
Chitsaz and the boy's mother met on www.match.com, and the mother and child, who didn't live in Scottsdale, would visit and stay with Chitsaz at his condominium, a Scottsdale police spokesman told CBS 5 News at the time of the arrest.
Police said the abuse happened at Chitsaz's Scottsdale condo.
The boy told his mother about the abuse, but later said he was only kidding, and it took almost a month more for the mother to question him again and call police, according to reports.
