CHEROKEE COUNTY, GA (CBS46) -

Cherokee Sheriff's deputies have identified the body of a 27-year-old who was discovered in a wooded area near Noonday Mobile Home Park on Dupree Road on Monday.

Armando Ruiz Medina's body was badly burned and appeared to have been in the woods for days, according to police. A gas tank and lighter were found near his body.

Ruiz's ex-girlfriend reported him missing on Saturday. She told deputies they had broken up and he was reportedly very upset over the break up.

The medical examiner ruled his death a suicide.
