The advisory is from 2 a.m. until 9 a.m. Thursday morning when temperatures are forecast to drop into the upper 30s for the first time in over 6 months!
The last time Atlanta saw temperatures of 39 degrees or cooler was on April 20 when it was 39 degrees.
Temperatures typically drop into the 30s in Atlanta for the first time on October 27, according to Jason Deese of the National Weather Service in Peachtree City.
Atlanta has seen its first 30 degree temperature as early as September, and as late as November.
