The driver of a 2001 Chevy Blazer was pronounced dead at the scene after a single-vehicle crash that happened just after 9 a.m. on Saturday.
The Blazer was traveling southwest on Argent Blvd. near US 278 when it veered off the right side of the road, over-turned and collided with several trees. There were four people in the vehicle at the time of the crash.
The driver, Rosmary Delatorre, 23, of Pooler, was entrapped and pronounced dead at the scene. Delatorre was wearing a seatbelt. One of the passengers was ejected from the vehicle and transported by air to Memorial in Savannah. The other two passengers were transported by ambulance to Coastal Carolina.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating crash.
