DeKalb County police offer Halloween alternatives

Posted: Updated:

If you'd rather not send your kids door-to-door this Halloween, the DeKalb County Police Department is hosting some Halloween alternatives.

The East Precinct will host a Trunk-or-Treat in Lithonia. Officers will decorate their patrol units and give out candy. The event is from 5-7 p.m. in the parking lot of Lithonia High School, located at 2440 Phillips Rd.

Chief Cedric Alexander will also be on hand to greet participants before joining South Precinct officers and the Kirkwood community as they celebrate their Boo-nanza festival.

The South Precinct's Boo-nanza festival is from 6-8 p.m. at 1807 Memorial Dr., Atlanta, GA, 30317.
