Feeling adventurous? Volunteers are needed Saturday to help clean the Chattahoochee River.

"Help the Hooch-Rivers Alive Clean-up" takes place from 9 a.m. to noon at the Paces Mill Recreation Area on Cobb Parkway and Paces Mill Road.

It's a joint effort between Keep Marietta Beautiful and the U.S. National Park System.

Volunteers should wear long pants, long-sleeve shirts, boots or high non-skid shoes, mosquito repellant and a hat.

You should also bring thick gloves. Trash bags and T-shirts will be provided.
