ATLANTA (CBS46) -

Emory police are investigating after an Emory University student told police she was raped at a campus fraternity house by two students.

The student told campus police the assault happened at about 2:30 a.m. Sunday at the house belonging to the Gamma Upsilon chapter of the Beta Theta Pi fraternity on Eagle Row.

The victim said she and the suspects, both Emory students, were acquaintances before the incident.

Campus police searched the house Sunday to gather potential evidence.

The incident is currently under investigation by campus officials. Campus Life staff have provided the student with ongoing support and advised her of available counseling resources.

CBS Atlanta News has learned that the fraternity was already on probation with its national chapter prior to the rape allegation.

Jeff Rundle with the national chapter would not comment on the status on the probation.

He did send an email responding only to the rape allegation, stating that it's being taken seriously and that they are working with local authorities.
