ATLANTA (CBS ATLANTA) -

Atlanta police arrested a 14-year-old suspected burglar following a car chase and helicopter search.

Atlanta police responded to an armed robbery call at 1225 Caroline St. Tuesday. Two victims said they had been robbed at gunpoint by two men who fled the scene in a gold Lexus with a drive out tag.

The suspects spotted officers and led them on a chase from Moreland Drive to I-20. The chase ended when the suspects hit a mailbox at the intersection of River Road and Oakvale Road in DeKalb County.

Police chased three men on foot and fired several rounds after one of the suspects pointed a gun at them.

Atlanta and DeKalb County police set up a perimeter and started searching for the suspects using K-9s and the DeKalb Air Unit. A police dog found a 14-year-old hiding behind a house.

The victims identified the suspect as the person who robbed them. Authorities recovered a gun from the suspect's car along with several items taken from victims in other robberies.

The 14-year-old suspect arrested was wanted on a burglary warrant in DeKalb County.
