Police identify suspect in Powder Springs bank robbery

POWDER SPRINGS, GA (CBS46) -

Police have identified a suspect in a Powder Springs bank robbery.

Powder Springs police say they believe 32-year old Irungo Tate of Mableton robbed a PNC bank back on Oct. 28.

Authorities issued a warrant on Tate for armed robbery, aggravated assault, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.

Authorities say Tate was last seen driving a black mid-90's Honda Accord with a possible Georgia tag of PIK6367, and that the vehicle has damage to the hood and the front of the vehicle.

According to police, Tate has ties in metro Atlanta and New Orleans and could be in either location.

PNC Bank is offering a reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person responsible for the robbery.
