ATLANTA (CBS ATLANTA) -

Atlanta Public Schools and the Atlanta Police Department are teaming up to provide a series of meetings to show parents what they're doing to keep students safe.

The meetings also provide an opportunity for parents to give feedback and suggestions.

The first meeting was held Monday night at North Atlanta High School. Parent Joni Santos said her main concern is bullying.

"Hopefully we will get an officer who will come to the school and conduct a seminar with the children on anti-bullying and what would really constitute bullying, and they can work together to effectively resolve problems without bullying," Santos said.
