Despite rough weather, few delays at Hartsfield-Jackson Int'l

ATLANTA (CBS ATLANTA) -

Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport's website said Wednesday that the wait times to get through security were anywhere from 10 to 20 minutes.

Father Matthew Krasnowiecki who braved the holiday traffic with his four kids while coming from Alabama didn't want to take any chances.

"It was a little unnerving, I was watching The Weather Channel last night, making sure that things were going to run smoothly and everything seems to be working out - I think we'll get up there OK," Krasnowiecki said.

He's headed to Baltimore and said the trick to keeping his two girls and twin boys calm is simple.

"Food ... food and activities," he joked.

But adults can get cranky when dealing with holiday travel, too.

That's why travel website Travelocity has a team of what it calls its "Turkey Task Force" out at the nation's 10 busiest airports, tweeting updates about anything that could get in a traveler's way.

Brian Simpson is part of that team.

"We're live-tweeting and reporting back on things that are happening at the various airports, drive times to the airport, check in delays, to keep customers more informed and get them on their way faster," Simpson said.

You can follow the company's tweets on its Twitter account, @travelocity, or look up tweets by searching for #TTF2013.
