Authorities are investigating after a man was found dead at a campsite on Fort Stewart.
Fort Stewart Public Affairs Officer Kevin Larson says the man's body was found Saturday at Holbrook Pond. The campsite is about five miles from the main post area and is popular with military personnel and retirees.
Larson says investigators were still working Sunday to identify the man, who appeared to be about 22 years old.
Larson says the ongoing investigation was being handled by the U.S. Army Criminal Investigation Command. He said he couldn't release any further details.
