King's Charter Clubhouse arsonist found in contempt of court

HANOVER, VA (WWBT) -

Sentencing for the Hanover teen who set several fires inside of a neighborhood clubhouse will be continued next year after an outburst in court.

According to the prosecutor, Jake Spiro was found to be in contempt of court after his outburst.

Spiro faces up to 40 years in prison. He pleaded guilty back in July to several arson charges.

Spiro was accused of setting three separate fires at the King's Charter Clubhouse, causing more than a million dollars in damage.

He will be back in court February 10 for a competency evaluation.
