ATLANTA (CBS46) -

With just three weekends left before Christmas, there are a number of festive events taking place this weekend for the entire family.

  • Enjoy hunting for 10,000 candy canes at a free family event in Cobb County. Families will also enjoy decorating cookies, roasting marshmallows, and working with ginger bread houses. This free event will also include a photo with Santa and is sponsored by the South Cobb Business Association and the Kermit C. Sanders Lodge 13 Fraternal Order. It's from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, December 7 at the Mable House located at 5239 Floyd Road in Mableton.

  • Friends of Disabled Adults and Children (FODAC) will host its annual "Breakfast with Santa" fundraising event Saturday, December 7 at the Evergreen Marriott Conference Center at Stone Mountain Park. The festivities include a gourmet breakfast buffet, free park admission with an all-attractions pass for each person, a toy for each child, and an opportunity to meet and take pictures with Santa and his favorite elves. Tickets are $30 for adults and $20 for children ages 5-11. Children under 5 are free when accompanied by an adult. All proceeds benefit FODAC, whose mission is to provide home medical equipment, such as power chairs, wheel chairs and walkers, to the mobility-impaired, at little or no cost to the recipient. For registration and info, call 770.491.9014 or visit fodac.org/breakfast. The breakfast is from 10 a.m. to noon.

  • The Children's Museum of Atlanta Hosts a Santa's Workshop Event Saturday evening. This is for museum members only. Kids can take pictures with Santa, play reindeer games, enjoy their favorite Christmas carols and even help the elves build a toy. Tickets are $6 and must be purchased in advance. It's from 6:30-8:30 p.m. To purchase tickets, visit http://bit.ly/1auHPbA.

  • From now through December 24, capture your child's picture with Santa at Lenox Square Mall in Buckhead. Come by the Macy's Court to capture the meaning of the holidays in a photo with Santa, perfect for holiday cards to send to friends and family. Celebrate the holidays by riding the Macy's Pink Pig, located beneath the signature 170-foot, 1950's themed Pink Pig Tent on the top of Lenox Square.

  • Garden Lights, Holiday Nights returns to Atlanta Botanical Gardens through January 4. The third annual winter wonderland is lit to the twinkling extreme with more than one million lights shimmering in a rainbow of colors. Experience all of the spectacular light displays, the "Orchestral Orbs" - a one-of-a-kind topiary light show choreographed to holiday music - and listen for Sounds of the Radiant Rainforest in the Fuqua Conservatory. For more information, go to www.atlantabotanicalgarden.org or call 404-876-5859. Hours are 5-10 p.m. at the Gardens located at 1345 Piedmont Avenue.

  • Christmas in Atlanta, a new Christmas Shopping Market, is premiering at the Georgia World Congress Center December 6-8. A variety of vendors offer handcrafted and unique gifts.

  • Don't forget about your four-legged family members! Pets can visit Santa at a PetSmart Store December 7 and 14. The event raises money for local animal-welfare groups. The annual Santa Claws Photo Event welcomes fur, feathers, and scales. Pet parents are asked to bring their own cameras to snap their pet's photos with Santa in front of a special holiday photo backdrop and then make a $5 donation which will go entirely to participating local animal-welfare organizations. Photo times are 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
