ATLANTA (RNN) - Illinois limited Auburn to 17 points in the first half and led the entire second half, defeating the Tigers 81-62 in Atlanta on Sunday.

The Illini (8-1) dominated Auburn (4-3) in shooting, making 32 of 52 field goals compared to Auburn's 21-of-52. Illinois also made 12 of their 23 3-pointers and all five of their free throws. Auburn made six of their 19 3-pointers and 14 out of their 18 free throws.

The Tigers held a one-point lead about two minutes into the game before Jon Ekey made a 3-pointer, giving the Illini a lead that they never relinquished. Auburn outscored Illinois 45-40 in the second half but was still down 19 points when the game ended.

KT Harrell led the Tigers with 23 points, and Chris Denson led with four assists and two steals.

Auburn gets some time off before playing Clemson at home on Dec. 19.
