Police in Gwinnett County need help finding a man who robbed employees at a store at gunpoint. The twist is the same guy may have done it more than once in the same shopping center - four robberies total within days of each other.
Police say at about 2 p.m. on Nov. 22 a man with a semi-automatic gun walked into the T-Mobile store at the Norcross Village Center on Buford Highway. He demanded cash and ran out of the store once the employee gave him the undisclosed amount from the register.
Four days later on Nov. 26 a man walked into the Metro PCS store eight doors down from the T-Mobile. Again the man demanded cash at gunpoint and got away.
On Nov. 29 a man fitting the same description again walked into the Metro PCS, and into the T-Mobile on Dec. 6.
Security cameras captured him on Dec. 6 wearing a yellow Marvel "Wolverine" sweatshirt, sunglasses and a wool skull cap.
Antonia Guerrero has owned the beauty salon next to the T-Mobile for six years. Guerrero said crime is increasing at the shopping center full of mostly small, Hispanic-owned "ma and pa" shops. She and her staff lock the salon door once the sun goes down and they walk each other to their cars and keep an eye out for suspicious people.
Police describe the suspect as a black man who is between 5'6" and 5'9" tall, weighs between 140 and 160 pounds, has short facial hair and carried a large-frame semi-automatic gun.
Gwinnett County Police Corporal Michele Pihera says the shop owners should be vigilant.
"There's always that chance that this person could get more brazen with each robbery that occurs. So certainly these people need to be on their guard. "
Pihera urged anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 404-557-TIPS (8477).
