An employee of the Brown County Detention Facility is facing sexual battery charges following accusations of engaging in sexual conduct with inmates.
John Kevin Dugan faces five charges of sexual battery following reports of sexual conduct with inmates while being an employee at the detention center. The allegations stem from multiple incidences in June and July of this year.
The Brown County Prosecutor's office explains that Dugan is being charged with sexual battery rather than rape because the alleged actions were not forcible.
The Brown County Sheriff's Office requested that BCI handle the case in August due to a conflict of interest.
Dugan no longer works at the detention facility. However, it is unsure if he was terminated or if he resigned.
Dugan also works as a nurse for Southwest Regional Medical Center in Georgetown and, according to Dugan's Twitter page, was a previous employee of the Cincinnati Bengals.
