911 call in Roswell kidnapping, murder-suicide released

Posted: Updated:

The search for a missing 4-year-old child came to a tragic end Friday afternoon.

Thursday, police responded to the 200 block of 260 Old Holcomb Bridge Way in Roswell.

Inside an apartment, police found Sandra Rivera Ruiz alive but unresponsive. She was taken to North Fulton Hospital in serious condition. Police said they believe she may have been strangled and had other facial trauma.

Police then discovered her 4-year-old son, Jesus Dominguez, was missing.

He was believed to be with his father, Carlos Alberto Dominguez.

On Friday, the bodies of Jesus and Carlos Dominguez were found in the woods about a half mile away from the apartment where the attack happened.

Before the child and his father were found dead, the crime started with a violent attack on Ruiz. Her sister found her and called 911.

Caller: "It is very, very emergency."

The voice on the call is from a man who was passing by Ruiz' apartment and saw a woman frantic and upset outside her sister's door.

He acted as a translator to guide first responders to the home.

It is clear from the call Ruiz is barely hanging on to life.

Caller: "I don't know if she is dying, I don't know."

Her sister, identified only as Esmerelda, believed from the moment she found her sister bloodied and unconscious that it was her sister's husband who was responsible.

Roswell police believe Carlos Dominguez killed himself after he killed his own child.
