3-car wreck sends police cruiser into power pole

A driver is charged after turning into the path of patrol car and causing a three-vehicle wreck.

Brittany Rochelle Hannon, of Riverdale, pulled out in front of a Clayton County patrol car being driven by Officer Gail Anderson, 46, Sunday afternoon.

Hannon, 24, was driving a 1996 Toyota Camry. She turned left onto Flint River Road from Ashton Road into the path of Anderson's patrol car. Hannon's car went into a spin and struck another vehicle before hitting a chain link fence. The officer's car struck a power pole.

Hannon and Officer Anderson were taken to Atlanta Medical Center for treatment. The injuries are not considered life threatening according to Georgia State Patrol.

Hannon was charged with failing to yield while turning left.
