A metro Atlanta church congregation is hoping bring the gift of warmth to needy children in southeast Atlanta.

Greater Works Ministries is hosting a Christmas coat drive Monday at John Wesley Dobbs Elementary School. The church's pastor Darryl Winston is hoping to collect one coat for every local child in need.

"Unfortunately, there are far too many of our children, particularly in the southeast corridor of Atlanta, going to school in the winter months without adequate clothing," Winston said.

Donors may drop off coats Monday from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at Dobbs Elementary, located at 2025 Jonesboro Rd. SE, Atlanta, GA 30315.
