No major weather systems are expected to impact the U.S. on Christmas Eve. There will be a few minor systems that will provide snow and rain across three parts of the U.S.
Sunny and cold
Expect sunny skies in Atlanta on Christmas Eve. It will be cold with afternoon temperatures only reaching into the 40s. Winds will also be slightly strong out of the northwest at 10-15 mph with gusts up to 25 mph! So if you plan on flying into ATL during the day, it may be a bumpy landing.
Lows Tuesday night in Atlanta will drop into the 20s...so bundle up and fire up the fireplace!
A minor system will create snow showers across the North Plains on Christmas Eve from Montana eastward to Minnesota.
If you're traveling to the Dakotas or Minneapolis Christmas Eve, there could be some delays.
Another minor system will produce some light snow showers across a small portion of the northeast, including New York City.
No major travel issues are expected.
A few rain showers are expected along the east Florida coast, including Miami on Christmas Eve. No travel problems are expected.
