Crooks rammed a van into a SW Atlanta storefront Thursday morning and stole the ATM, according to Atlanta police.
Atlanta police were called to a Chevron convenience store around 5:45 a.m. They discovered the plate glass smashed at the front of the store. A gray van had backed into the business while it was open, according to police.
A second white van was also involved.
Six men dressed in masks and hoodies hopped out of the van and hauled off the ATM.
Patrol officers spotted both vans ditched on the westbound shoulder of interstate 20 near Hamilton E. Holmes Drive NW approximately a half-hour later.
The money was gone and the thieves are still on the run. No one was injured in the incident.
