While Atlanta police detectives walked Qutravius Palmer, 22, to DeKalb County Magistrate Court, Nichole Villafane confronted him Thursday.

"You told that 14-year old to shoot my son in the head. Now that you sat and though about it was it worth it?" Villafane asked Palmer.

Villafane is the mother of Army Reservist Xavier Arnold. Police charged Palmer and Wayne Wright, 14, with Arnold's murder.

Palmer told Villafane he didn't shoot her son. He is innocent.

According to detectives, on Dec. 26 Wright shot Arnold in the head during an attempted robbery.

Arnold was walking along a bike trail in the Kirkwood community with his girlfriend and another man when it happened.

Police said Arnold's other friend was shot in the leg. His girlfriend was not injured.

When Palmer made his first court appearance, several people from the Kirkwood community, his parents, family and friends were all there.

"I just wanted Palmer to look me in my face and he would see Xavier had a mother. I wanted him to see the hurt in my eyes because his family gets to see him. They got to see him today, but I don't get to see my son," said Villafane.  "I wanted him to see what he did to me, see the hurt in my eyes."
