ATLANTA, GA (CBS46) -

Pictures of uniformed soldiers, red, white and blue ribbons, and American flags stretched the length of a hallway inside the state Capitol for a special memorial. The wall honoring Georgia's men and women who died in the War on Terror is now on display in downtown Atlanta.

The memorial called Remembering Our Fallen arrived Friday at the state Capitol building. It honors nearly 200 service members lost in action during the war from all branches of the military.

"It helps tell those stories, it helps those of us who continue to serve and those who continue to benefit from the freedom that we have," said Jim Butterworth, adjutant general with the Georgia National Guard. "It helps us to remember and never forget."

The wall is the 11th of its kind in the U.S.

It has traveled the state of Georgia since October 2013.
