Atlanta police are trying to figure out who broke into a high-end clothing boutique in the Virginia-Highland neighborhood, stealing thousands of dollars worth of merchandise early Wednesday morning.
The store is called 310 Rosemont, located on North Highland Avenue near Virginia Avenue.
A witness saw the burglary unfolding at about 1:30 a.m. and called police. The first officer arrived two minutes later, but the group of burglars had already fled in a truck and an SUV, police said.
Police said the burglars used a rock to try to shatter a plate glass window and a glass door. However, a special film on the glass prevented the glass from falling apart. The burglars improvised, police said, opening the plate glass like a door and wedging their way inside.
Call Atlanta police if you have any information in the case.
