ROSWELL, GA (CBS46) -

Roswell firefighters responded to a fire at Chipper Jones' house Wednesday night.

The former Atlanta Braves third baseman said he was cleaning his fireplace and dumped the ashes outside.

Apparently, the ashes started a fire in the woods.

An alert neighbor called 911 and firefighters were able to extinguish the fire.

No one was injured.

Jones laughed it off on Twitter saying, "Lol. Tried to do my daily chores and cleaned out the fireplace. Went and dumped the ashes. Alls good right? Nope. Set the woods on fire! Ugh"

The next tweet read, "I got firefighters all over my place! Thank you Roswell Fire Dept."
