Residents displaced after Dunwoody apartment fire

DUNWOODY, GA (CBS46) -

DeKalb County firefighters battled the cold in addition to flames to douse an apartment fire in Dunwoody Thursday night. The two-alarm fire broke out around 9 p.m. at the Broadstone Dunwoody Apartments.

The fire damaged apartment building 2426. It housed 8 units. The American Red Cross came to the scene to assist those displaced by the fire.

One person suffered an injury that was medical in nature according to DeKalb County fire. The department set up a station to hand out coffee, cocoa and chili to help many keep warm.

The fire is under investigation.
